Long time since I've posted, but not been idle (well not entirely!)

The Figures keep coming

A while ago, I made a dollie for the Mounted FdM and also the rather unusual early dragoon style helmet that they wore. I've just got round to completing the four mounted figures based on those components

Another unit, ticked off, back to the Garde Officers now ......

Garde Francaises and a couple of Savoia Chaps

I've been working away making more French Garde figures, all loosely based on the famous painting of the Fontenoy Battle and their engagement with the British Foot Guards.

Here they are in line, at the ready, about to receive that first volley!

I've also made a new marching dollie, and the first figure I've made with it is a new Savoia Infantryman

Finally, I made a Grenadier head a while back and I've used that to convert the new standing figure into a Grenadier

Away to make some more now ......

Here comes the Band

Not posted for a while, but been busy painting away.

Here's a small band, created from the musician stands of three units plus a bandmaster which I made by converting one of my NCO sculpts (new arms etc).

New Sculpts

I've taken a short break from painting to do a little bit more sculpting over the last week or so. Some of the work is just "interim" items that will go to make up final figs, but I have completed a couple of sculpts. First Chap is a Spanish/Neapolitan Infantryman, the second another Savoia chap.

Command Vignettes

I promised some photos of the Command Vignettes, here they are

The Officers are all from the Crann Tara range, just slightly tweaked by me with the addition of extra buttons and a sash. Using these as a stop gap for the first couple of units until I sculpt some specific Officer figures of my own (Mind, that's not to say they aren't great figs, rather it's just long term I'd like this Army to be mainly my own work)

Second Unit

Made a start on the second Line unit, Savoia, who feature blue facings. Only another 40 to go ....

As requested, I'll do a short tutorial on how I paint white when I get a chance.

Cheers
