Master Castings

I've painted up a few of the spare master castings whilst waiting for the production moulds to be completed.

Here's a few examples of how the sculpts have turned out ....

Command Sculpts Finished

So I have finished the Command Figs and one additional firing line figure for the Fusiliers de la Morliere, so that little project is complete. Light not great when I took these photos, but it gives an idea of how the figs look.

Painted Commander

Whilst sculpting the figs for my new army, I've been painting the odd fig for a bit of interest. Here's a command fig I made using a Willie casting and Foremost Horse.

Sculpting

I've actually been quite busy recently on the hobby side of things, but not been posting much here as I've been on the "A Military Gentleman" forum. This is a forum for those who've bought John Ray's fantastic book of the same name. If you haven't got it I would strongly recommend it, if you love beautifully sculpted miniatures, great painting and lots and lots of atmospheric photos of the same then buy it now. Best single purchase I've ever made in the hobby.

Anyway, I've been sculpting some figures to sit alongside the Richard Ansell style "Minden" and "Crann Tara" ranges.

My most recent sculpts are some Fusiliers de la Morliere from the 1740's period, here's some photos

Skirmishers

Just a couple of companies of French Skirmishers that I sort of "speed painted" a wee while ago. The French are just about there now and ready for some gaming .....

Distracted

I've been off the Napoleonics for a while (sort of) and have been working on some late eighteenth century stuff in recent months. The figures are actually Elite Napoleonic Saxons, so some Napoleonic connection!

Not a lot of sculpting with these, a few conversions and the like.
